We have had company the last couple weekends. I LOOOVE hosting company. I’ll post more soon on some recipes and Twin Cities adventures we’ve partaken in with our family visiting.
So, I took my own advice from the last post. We took our cousins on a Summit brewery tour at 10:30 on a Saturday morning (the only open slots were before noon). Loved it.
Enjoy some photos from the inside of the beer-making barn that is Summit Brewery:
Morning sun welcoming our cousins, Milwaukee dwellers, to our town! P.S. Go Pack, Go!
Kegs. crates of em!
Beer in the cooler. Floor to ceiling. Summit EPA! They also contract brew Finnegan’s Beer, in background (all profits of Finnegan’s go to charity!).
Cousins in the cooler!
Yes, it was 40 degrees in here. We stayed long enough to take some photos and gawk at the hops and twelve packs.
Vats. Yeast is incorporated here. Scientific, I know.
This is where lots of science happens. Chemistry. oooo. I momentarily stopped listening to the tour guide here because I was in awe of the giant floor-to-ceiling tanks and the yeast-honey-beer smell.
Happy to be at Summit on a Saturday!
Wonder who volunteers to polish the copper. There’s a job.
A bubbly sample!
Slainte! Prost! Salut! Skal! Cheers!
